  • DIG: Prehistoric Gardens

    June 1 – Sept 30

The dinosaurs are back! DIG: Prehistoric Gardens, an exhibit that explores geology, paleontology, and botany returns to the Gardens this summer. Ferns and horsetails, spiny cycads and monkey-puzzle trees are just some examples of plants that developed millions of years ago that are still in existence today. Come explore the the many plants found in our Garden that have links to a prehistoric past. Learn about the creatures that fed on these plants over time including giant dragonflies, millipedes and of course, dinosaurs. Join us on a scavenger hunt,  dig in our fossil quarry, or take a picture with a velociraptor.
