Facility Maintenance Tech, Part-Time
WORKING IN A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN SETTING you will help to keep Tucson Botanical Gardens facilities looking its best for all of the visitors, staff, and volunteers. Your work days will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. If you have general “handyman” skills, you’d be perfect for this position!
The following is a list of the types of skills required of a Facility Technician at the Gardens:
Electrical: Install and maintain all types of circuit breakers, fuses, connectors, switches, fixtures, emergency light, exterior lights. Events: Set up tables and chairs, Tear down tables and chairs after event, power wash all required, Sweep and mop areas, empty all trash and replenish paper towels, check, supply and clean all restrooms and kitchens. Fountains: Install, replace and maintain all types of water pump, filters, water line, clean and treat all kind of fountains water. HVAC: Maintain condenser unit, heat pump, furnace, compressor, evaporator, blower, condenser fan, cooler. Plumbing: Install, replace and maintain all types of kitchen & bath faucets, sinks, garbage disposals, bath toilets, tub & showers trim kit, valve control, shower doors, tub & enclosure, water supplies fittings, clean out drains by electric and handle snake, solder cooper line, PVC pipes. Carpentry: Install, replace and maintain all types of cabinets, windows, doors, trim work, remodeling, change out locks and rekey, blinds & curtains. Masonry: Maintain all types of brick, sidewalks, patios, drive ways, concrete floors. Tiling: Maintain all types of floor & wall tile, glass block. Painting/dry wall: Painting exterior and interior, special design, dry wall install and repair, texture and wall paper installation.
Required: Valid driver’s license with the ability to get insured to drive the company van.

Marketing Intern (unpaid)

Tucson Botanical Gardens is looking for a motivated student or recent graduate as a Marketing Intern. We’re looking for a minimum of 8 hours a week. Applicants should be proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft programs, social media, and design programs are a plus. This internship is for anyone looking for real life marketing experience.
