“I am very devoted to the Virgin of Guadalupe. After the picture was given to me, I wanted to make it more beautiful, so my daughter and I sewed sequins for 2 months. It was an act of devotion for us. The statue of Mary at the front door was brought from my mother-in-law’s house in Rillito, Arizona. After she left the house, before it was torn down, we moved the statue here and planted the bridal veil plant next to her.” Silvia Leon

 

“Soy muy devota a la Virgen. Después de recibir el cuadro como un regalo, quería hacerlo más bonito, así que mi hija y yo bordamos lentejuelas por 2 meses. Fue un acto de devoción para nosotras. La estatua de María en la entrada la trajimos de la casa de mi suegra en Rillito, Arizona. Cuando ella dejó la casa, iban a tumbar todo, y trajimos la estatua acá y plantamos el velo de la novia para acompañarla”. Silvia León
