Yoga In The Gardens Thurs. Mornings, weekly ● 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thu., Aug 7, 14, 21, 28 (four class series) $40, $30 members Start your day off right with a weekly invigorating and centering yoga practice in our beautiful garden setting. Led by Laura Greenlaw, a certified yoga instructor, each one-hour class will include centering hatha yoga poses taught using good alignment and breathing. Students will learn to create both flexibility and strength in their bodies. No previous experience necessary. Class price includes Gardens admission on each class day. Making Flower Essences From Your Garden and Yard Sat., Aug. 16● 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Flower essences are subtle vibrational remedies that address emotional, spiritual, and mind body issues. They are not scents, but rather a way to bottle some of the energy of favorite flowers and have access to them at any time. We’ll go through most of the steps using plants at the garden, and you’ll leave with a handout to guide you in making your own at home. Arizona’s Amazing Amphibians Thurs., August 21 ● 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Most people do not associate the desert with amphibians. After all, these animals require an ample supply of water to survive. Yet Arizona is surprisingly rich in amphibians, many of which take advantage of summer rains for an opportunity to breed. This class explores the salamanders, frogs, and toads of Arizona.
