Sonoran Butterfly Project Classroom Education
The Sonoran Butterfly Project, funded by the Wallace Research Foundation, is designed to facilitate young people’s interaction with caterpillars by involving them in the rearing and metamorphosis process and observing them emerge into butterflies. The Sonoran Butterfly Project classroom kit provides caterpillars, food, educational resources and a net rearing cage. To date we have provided over 125 kits to classrooms in Tucson and we are developing our own colonies to keep this project viable for the year to come .
