TreeAdventures

TreeAdventures

When was your last Tree Adventure?

If you can’t remember, it might be time to start on another one. Going on a Tree Adventure is easy. It starts with asking a simple question:

Why are trees so important?

Maybe you have an answer right away. Maybe you can even think of several answers. No matter what, you can probably find a few more. Ask your family, your friends, your teachers why it’s so important for us to keep trees around. Go ahead, start some conversations!

To keep your adventure going, here are some thoughts to consider and share:

What sorts of things that you use every day are made from trees? Try to make a list of all the tree materials you use in a single day. You may be surprised how long it can get.

Imagine what your neighborhood will look like without any trees in it. How would your backyard be different? How about the park? The school? What else would be different? Draw a picture of this alternate world.
