All classes require preregistration unless otherwise noted. Payment must be received in advance in order to reserve a place in a class, workshop or field trip. No refunds can be guaranteed if cancellation is made within seven days of the class. Special cancellation fees may apply to trips. Mornings, weekly ● 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thu., July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 (five class series) $50, $40 members Start your day off right with a weekly invigorating and centering yoga practice in our beautiful garden setting. Led by Laura Greenlaw, a certified yoga instructor, each one-hour class will include centering hatha yoga poses taught using good alignment and breathing. Students will learn to create both flexibility and strength in their bodies. No previous experience necessary. Class price includes Gardens admission on each class day.
Creating Magic in a Potted Garden Room Thurs. July 24 ● 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Let’s cool off indoors at the Gardens while we dream about the potted gardens we will create in the fall. Learn from Tucson’s Potted Garden Expert, Marylee Pangman on how to use pots to enclose smaller spaces, break up a long wall or bring living interest to your desert landscape. $12, $7 members. Sensational Serpents of Southern Arizona Thurs, July 24 ● 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Snakes suffer from a severe public relations problem. They are feared and despised by many people around the world. In this class, we will meet some of these wonderful creatures in person and take a look at many of the 47 species of snakes found in southern Arizona. Also learn how to stay safe from rattlesnakes.
