Garden Railway

The railway started as a partnership with Tucson Garden Railway when they installed a holiday railway exhibit several years ago. This year, a dedicated Tucson Botanical Gardens’ volunteer, Thorne Pierce, started learning about how to build trains and took over creating the garden railway with pieces donated by Tucson Garden Railway society. With the help of Gary Martin, who created the rock work and waterfall, the Tucson Botanical Gardens now has a complete miniature train town that is set to the backdrop of beautiful gardens. The Garden Railway runs daily during Gardens’ hours (8:30am – 4:30pm) and is included with the price of admission ($8 Adults, $4 Children 4-12, Free to members and children under 3). **Please note that the running of the train is subject to weather and mechanical cooperation, please call ahead to be sure the train is operating, (520)326 – 9686, Ext. 10.
