DIG:PREHISTORIC GARDENS | TWILIGHT THURSDAYS

DIG

Dig: Prehistoric Gardens
starting MAY 1, 2008

Imagine our planet in a pre-historic era where continents were filled with bizarre plants and ginormous creatures. Step into that ancient and alien world this summer at the Tucson Botanical Gardens.

Dig: Prehistoric Gardens

Interpreting Ancient Plants & Animals from Arizona and All Around the World

Life-Sized Dinosaurs….Giant Bugs….Living Fossils….Plants that existed before seeds were known…

Take a self-guided tour through the Gardens and come face-to-face with a life-sized flesh eating dinosaur or see a giant dragonfly flying overhead. Stand next to a giant T-Rex footprint or touch a Dinosaur Egg.  Discover bizarre carnivorous and ancient plants that are truly living fossils, changing little over time. Find out what the dinosaurs ate and which plants survived and thrive in present times. Dig in a fossil quarry or go on a scavenger hunt and take a fascinating walk through pre-history.

DIG: Prehistoric Gardens is included with Gardens Admission. Open Daily 8:30am-4:30pm. Closed July 4th. Special extended hours during Twilight Thursdays, June 5-August 28, open Thursdays til 9pm.
